I know, I know, but if you've read my other post, you'll know it's for a specific purpose.
We want the car as a guinea pig for our new remapping venture.

Any 225 hardtop considered...

I got the train up to that London this morning and - against all the rules - bought it on the spot from a grimy portakabin set-up in Park Royal. It drove back to Gloucestershire without missing a beat. Feels pretty tight and together, but we will see!

First up will be a carbon clean and diagnostics followed by a full service.

Then on 18th December, we head to Birmingham to pick up our remapping kit and use the TT as our training guinea pig.

I'd really like a few pops and bangs and the dump valve needs to be a bit more hooligan!

Great to be 19 again!

Not as many as you'd think, Dan! We paid less than £3k for the one we bought, but most had galactic mileage or other issues.

We're very pleased with ours, but you won't be surprised to hear that we're going to, ahem, visually enhance* it a bit!

*Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, remember.

Jag 2??

You wont get a tidy sorted one for £1k, but they are going for circa £1k for an "age related marks" example!

Great engines, the Seat Leons share them and they are cheaper still to buy.

Not Jag 2 exactly. It's going to be used as a promotional vehicle for our various brands... So, it *may* end up looking a bit like a racing car with sponsorship decals...

So, with the launch of our new mapping venture just over a month away, we have finished our TT in typically understated style...

Looks ace, Jim! Are you going to be the Flea of Stroud and Cirencester?

Thanks Pinin! The car turns as many heads as the Jag, but in a different way.
No, we are categorically not trying to set ourselves up as master tuners like Flea! Although we believe that the products we offer are great, we are simply installers, we don't write the maps ourselves and we would never claim the level of expertise that Leighton has built over many years. Our main focus is small/medium businesses looking to make savings on their fuel bills. The performance mapping is a (fun) sideline.

I've spotted the car on one of the TT forums, looking very nice.

Thanks BB! MrsC has risked the trolls on a few forums, but the reaction has been a lot more positive than it was for the Jag!

In particular, British Jag owners on forums can be rather "difficult" smile

I'm not a fan of the TT but that looks cool.

Thanks Neil. We did get quite a bit of positive reaction to the Jag, but it wasn't universal... However, it would be a big fat fib if I were to say that we weren't deliberately courting controversy!

Oh, and the TT looked better before MrsC reversed it into a low kerb last week. Cue loud bang as brittle fibre glass bodykit snapped and pulled through the bolt securing it to the wing! Ah well, at least we can fix it...
