My annual invitation to Prescott charity hill climb came in today. Any interest from FCCUK members for coming along? Weekend of May 11th and 12th 2019. Saturday is a road trip around the Cotswolds including lunch at the Cotswold Hub which has some truly fantastic cars and bikes on display. Sunday is the hillclimb day.

Good to hear Iain. Your brothers GTi should do well on the tight turns. Let's see if there is any other interest in the coming months.

Hi Iain Yes I went to that in 2018 and it was great - lots of lovely old and modern classic Italian and French cars. It looks like the Rotary club charity day is quite close this time around. The weekend of the 11th/12th allows 200 entries of classic or "interesting" cars to have a number of officially untimed runs up the hill, with the marshals volunteering and all monies raised for charity. I have done it a couple of times in the Coupe and previously in a vintage rally prepared 1964 Mini Cooper. The Cooper was certainly a lot easier to drive up hard! If we got a group together, they would allow us to park together in the famous paddock area.

Good evening - that sounds a very interesting event. Would you be so kind as to let me know the cost of entering, what the process is to take part? Thank you Graeme

Hi Graeme There are several options. From memory for £55.00 you get to park in the paddock on the Sunday with all passengers, have a programme and have two separate runs up the hill. Alternatively, for £20 on the Saturday, you can partake in the Cotswold scenic drive which finishes at the Cotswold Hub. The other option is just to park in the spectator/public car park on the Sunday, where I believe entry is £15 per car. If you pm me your e-mail, I can e-mail you the entry details.

Hi Doug,
Not too much interest to date from the forum unfortunately, but no matter, I have always found it good fun! I should not worry too much about how your looks, mine has looked pretty rough over the years, but hopefully, it is gradually getting tidier. If you want to enter, I can arrange to forward the entry details if you pm me your e-mail address? Regards
Mark
