I've been toying with the idea of buying another car for a couple of years.
I love my Coupe, and it's going nowhere, so another car would be keeping it company, not replacing it.

Looked at loads of different types of stuff, Jag XK, Boxsters, RX8, RS Focus, MX5, 944 Turbo, etc.

Finally plumped for a 35th Anniversary GT4 350Z, this one limited in the UK to only 76 examples in Ultra Yellow.

I'm successfully spurred on !! Looks amazing.

Not able to buy anything at the moment due to campervan woes. But I still hanker after a Z

Enjoy your new purchase!

That's lovely, Bob. Can you do a write up on ownership and how it drives please?
We're the pictures taken on the road to Llangynidr?
Has it got a standard exhaust or a more tuneful one?
Congrats on your purchase.

Pics were taken on the Keepers Mountain, between Blaenavon and Llanfoist. Generally a quiet road, apart from sheep and cyclists!
I only picked the car up Thursday evening, and I'm still in the honeymoon period, so limited in feedback yet.
The exhaust is non standard, but very muted, not sure of the brand though.

It's shape seems to polarise opinion, and I seem to be in the minority who loves the quirky back end.
This model has the uprated motor from the earlier 276bhp up to 296bhp.
I've already found you can't really drive it with finesse, a stiff chassis, heavy and very direct steering, tight and very short throw gearbox, all needing a firm hand to work well.

Even though it's nearly 300bhp, it doesn't feel like it. More a lazy and grunty motor feel, rather than a rev monster.
I like it for that reason, more a GT feel than a sportscar.

It's interior is typical Japanese, loads of hard plastics, nothing like the more tactile surfaces in other brands.

General build quality seems very robust, which did surprise me, as I've found a lot of the Japanese stuff can feel a bit flimsy.

I looked at loads of other car brands and models, and a few times drifted away from choosing the Z, due to some average reviews online.
But I do think that some of those reviews were based on badge/brand snobbery.
I'm glad I ignored that, as so far, this car has surprised me, and I look forward to spending more time behind the wheel.

I love the 350z shape, in fact I have a Corgi bronze one screwed onto my locker door at work.
I remember Fifth gear testing the Z and a TT at Anglesey. Tiff was soon bored with the Audi, but loved the Nissan.
No match for my Mg tf, of course tongue

Ah, I know that spot. I used to sail my RC boat on keepers pond as a boy, and cycle up fiddlers elbow with great effort. I've got a similar pic with my Coupe and a Triumph stag (ARM from this forum) and Boosted7 as passenger. Lovely drive to Crickhowell via Big Pit !

Glad you're enjoying it.
