Say if such a camera was placed on a motorway or maybe in a tunnel, then wouldn't it possibly be set off by ANYTHING that sounds half decent, even if it's totally standard? Like a supercar?

The question is what would they set the limit at, and where would the mic's be, i.e. what road etc. how far away from the car is the mic?

Would it be a similar limit to the common 98db track day one, and how would they allow for older cars (AC Cobra etc.) that come from the factory that way at over 100db driveby on full chat?

from the pic it looks like the mic is in front of the car - so how do they know the noise is not from the bike that just blasted past in the outside lane - is it directional...
