Ok this is now scheduled for SUNDAY 14th JULY
This is a more detailed schedule
0900 East side members meet at LDL car park on Slateford Rd then head for Lanark via Lang Wang and Carnwath (Slateford Rd. to Lanark c.50 mins)
0920 West side members to meet at Newhouse then take the A73 to Lanark via Newmains and Carluke (Newhouse to Lanark c.30 mins) Meet up/assembly would be at Hyndford Loch park which is on the outskirts of Lanark on southbound A73
1000 Leave Lanark on A73 South Hyndford Bridge Turn Left on A73 continue South to Abington approx. 15 miles A73/A74/A702/M74 meet Take A702 to Abington Village via Abington Services In Abington Turn Right on to B797 for Leadhills In Leadhills at the Mining Museum there is a tea room where we can have a refreshment stop In addition to the Mining Museum there is a working Beam Engine as well as a narrow gauge railway Good photography (Lanark to Leadhills c.45 mins)
1100 Coffee stop Leadhills Mining Museum
After the Leadhills stop we take B797 South to Mennock TL at Mennock on to A76 South Follow signs for Drulanrig Castle Say Nav DG3 4AQ Drumlanrig would be our destination At the Castle there are many activities these can be discussed once a decision to go has been made (Leadhills to Drumlanrig c.30 mins)
c.1230 Lunch at Drumlanrig
Leavingthe Castle to return we would rejoin A76 North West thtough Mennock Kirkconnel New Cumnock At Cumnock TR on to A70 to Muirkirk TL on to to B743 to Strathaven (Drumlanrig to Strathaven c.1hr 20mins)
Strathaven would be the separation point for East and West members East on A70 to Stonehouse West on either A723 to Hamilton or A726 to East Kilbride or Glasgow

Good meeting up with you albeit rather briefly. Some story there with your drive shaft Rob! Only took me 3 hrs to get home despite pigs running free on the M6 south of Lancaster!

Great to catch up with you guys again, respect to Alan for the effort to come up from Warrington for just a couple of hours.

I just thought it was a bit late for the campers to still be snoozing in their tents so a customary wake-up alarm was called for
