Black 20VT maybe a Plus( Skirts ) going left towards Lochwinnoch at the powerdoors roundabout at around 1.30pm yesterday. Looked to be on a V or W plate. Had HID bright headlights.
I'm on the "south side" and the broomy in Eyre Place is in the New Town. There's only one more broomy I know of and that's at Craigleith, owned believe it or not by a lovely Italian chap
That would have been me....Bought her this week (Black LE0102) from a fella in Loughborough. I was enroute back to Alford Aberdeenshire - . I've just joined the Club and forum. Absolutely delighted with her, until like an idiot, I left the engine oil filler cap in Berwick - now has a temporary emergency fuel filler cap as an oil cap until a source one!!. My first Coupe, mostly old Alfas before this. She'll be coming off the road until spring - some very minor niggles (rattles, blocked window washers, original speakers crackle and new thermostat -running at 60c) to sort over the winter but otherwise in fantastic condition.
Hi Alastair, great to hear of another coop ownere up here
Maybe introduce yourself on Coupe Related chat?
Then you might get a flood of helpful tips to keep you fettling through your ownership
Many of Alfa/Lancia/Fiat parts have similar heritage of course so you may have a good "feel" of how the coop is put together.
Thermostat stuck open is common, so yes replace it and maybe the temp sensor at the same time.
Blocked window washers - after clearing the nozzles with a pin get in under the scuttle panel and after cleaning out all the old leaves which collect near the bonnet hinges check out the condition of the pollen filter while you're at it.
The washer hose non-return valves often fail - sometimes when you prise it open with a stanley all you need to do is clear a blockage or clean the wee gauze filter. Otherwise Halfrauds will do a cheapie
Brilliant, thank you for the heads up. I will definitely introduce myself and upload a few picture. First job to get it washed and polished ....rained all the way home then car cover on and into the workshop ready for fettling.
Sorry...didn’t realise it had been on before...not been on here for a while...
That sprinty's not moved in a while
It didn’t look like it had. Although the word on the bonnet had been wiped off...there was a similar picture drawn into the dust on the windscreen...and the front passenger side tyre was looking a bit flat. Apart from that it looked in pretty good condition body/interior wise. What a waste...I miss mine
