Looking for recommendations
Had my 530d M Sport stolen at weekend. Best car I’ve ever owned and rock solid. Had 220,000 and never missed a beat.

So I need - a min of 4 seats.(small seats for small kid in back are fine)
Something with a kick but a “prestige” ish badge as wife may be driving it a bit.

To give you an idea I’m swaying toward a mk2 Audi TT 2.0 fsi 2006-2008
Looked at the Tdi which only comes in Quattro format , bit nervous about the 4 wheel element as maybe something else expensive that can go wrong??
Maybe even a bmw 320 coupe diesel or petrol but an m sport if poss.

Want something reliable that I won’t have to chuck lots of money at - so not another coupe. Already have two

Many thanks, what say you?
If you see something please post a link or even better if your selling let me know.

Cheers and merry Christmas

Sorry to hear about the theft. It's a real feeling of violation. But on the positive side you can choose something else..... Should be plenty of choice for £5k.

So.... After reminding myself of what's out there, there's:

Top of the billing is probably the Golf GTI Mk5 - great handling, plenty of power.
If you want to be more raucous, there's the Focus ST Mk2 "Asbo"
Mini Cooper S... plenty of choice and good fun.
Octavia vRS - same engine as the Golf. Lovely interiors, maybe a bit dull for your list.
Fabia vRS - you could get a mint one of the pd diesels for well under £5k. Again, they're great cars, but perhaps not quite premium.
Second gen Honda Civic Type R.
Lots of Audi options... A3, A4 with various "warm" engines. S3 might be pricey.
I don't know much about Beemers or Mercs, so I'm sure others will chip in.

Will keep thinking.

As a wildcard someone on here just got one of these. Must admit it's a load of car for the money.

R32 Golf would sound the same and be more practical than the TT cool

Picking up a red 3.2 v6 Mk 2 today to match the Fiat Coupe Plus and the Red NA too.
There once was a lad on here called Carlt- he swore against red cars - I ignored him
