Any one else seen the Dacia advert with the gold Duster?

As it drives away it sounds like a V6. Pretty sure they ain't though. So a sound effect I suspect.

It just annoys me.....

soapbox

That will probably be the 1-litre 3-pot engine - half of a V6 so the basic engine harmonics are similar

I have for my daily driver in town a three pot Corsa, it does indeed sound like a wee V6. It's all I need for my job, good on petrol & £30 road tax. driving

I'm an old git & happy with it,most of the time

Yeah I did think of that, but it still sounds a bit too smooth for a 3 pot. They usually sound more 'rorty.'

Happy to be corrected though.

Drove a 3 pot Ibiza turbo recently and it did sound quite good, but more of a thrum than smooth.

I suffered a 3pot Viva for almost a month as a courtesy car this summer. The engine was as rough as a badger's arse until 4-5000 revs.

Horrible thing, various twin pot Citroens I have owned have been smoother.

I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.
