OHP 3x10 40KG
Pull-up/Chin-up 3x10

Into work Bike average 18 MPH
From work Bike average 16 MPH

Starting at
13.6Stone
17.3MPH to work
14.0 mph From Work

Bench 3x10 30KG
OHP 8, 7, 6, x 30KG
Pull-up/chin-up 8, 7, 5

Really hard climb to the top of kirkstone pass. Had three rests. I'm less concerned of time improvement but want to ride it in one.

21st 1 lb for me this morning frown

Doing more exercise in my new job now, but due to being at home more in the evenings, am drinking more beers, so calories are balancing out to maintain my weight rather than lose any rolleyes

My plan for this year is the same as every year rolleyes Eat healthier and cut back on the beers and to find some willpower from somewhere!

Good luck to anyone starting a healthier year this year and well done to those who already have ( jimboy for example) smile

Anyone else up for this? I'm planning to start on Monday.

Cutting back on alcohol (my main downfall these days). Going to eat more protein to feel fuller for longer and possibly go back to the 5:2 diet, which has worked well for me in the past.

I'm averaging 15,000 - 19,000 steps or more at work each day now, which is burning calories, but I'm drinking them in the evenings, so am maintaining my weight rather than losing it frown

Aiming for a 6 stone loss this year, which will take me down to 15 stone.

The real problem with drinking beers or eating at night is

You go to bed afterwards so therefore your body can’t use the calories and therefore stores them as fat

And only way to get rid of fat is to do medium pace exercise for a good amount of time

So the plan I suggest for you
Get pissed during day about ten miles from your house and walk home hehe

If you can get away from the beers, then I would suggest having a look at the Keto diet (high fat, medium protein, low carb). I've been doing this for the past 18 months and lost about 2.5 stone, but allowed me to carry on drinking spirits smile If your curious about it, have a look at Keto UK Community on Facebook. One of the moderators of the group has lost over 7.5 stone in a year by following it

I stepped on to the scales on the weekend and got a shock, 98.4 kgs, (15.5 st). I've never been that heavy, I've put on about 5 kgs in the last 12 months. I had 2 bouts of heart surgery last year and some medication side effects is difficulty in exercising and weight gain. I can't stop the medication, so I'll just have to get off my arse more and move. I've been walking about 2 kms of a morning before work and I managed to pick up a standing desk for my office before the xmas break, so hopefully I can turn things around from here on in.

Bit late to the party but I thought I’d join in.

As of 03.01.20

15st 2lbs - 19.8% body fat
One rep max
Deadlift - 160kg
Squat - 110kg
Bench - 95kg
3 mile run - 28mins 15secs

I’m not really bothered by weight, but it’s a decent(ish) metric to measure yourself by, so I’m targeting trying to stabilise around 14st (at 5ft 9in I will still be classed as obese using BMI - which is hugely flawed anyway).
I’m aiming to get back into rugby by September (eligible for the veteran league now!) so I really want to improve my overall fitness. I need a combination of strength and stamina.

As of 10.01.20

14st 12lbs - 19.2% body fat
One rep max
Deadlift - 160kg
Squat - 120kg
Bench - 95kg
3 mile run - 27mins 1sec
