The generic title to the thread means I can list all the various issues as they arise!
It's actually a great little car, reminding me why we liked our last one so much.
However...
We noticed a smell of burning oil when driving slowly or stationary, but with no apparent smoke from the exhaust or oil contamination around the tips. It seems as though oil is dripping from a leak somewhere onto the hot exhaust, explaining the symptoms. Suspects for the leak include brake vacuum pump and turbo oil feed. The valve cover seems leak free and the timing chain was replaced 3k miles ago.
Anyone have any thoughts on most likely candidates?
Thanks in advance...

I had similar symptoms from our Bongo V6 but was leaking cam seals which yours shouldn't be.

It was finding its way onto some components and dripping onto the exhaust. Only a problem when stationary when there's no airflow to disperse the fumes.

Only way to tell would be to get it on ramps and take a good look. As you say, turbo or sump or gearbox leaks.

Good luck

Thanks, Gripped. A friend had a Peugeot with the same engine and the same problem. His turned out to be the brake vacuum pump.
