Well, it had to be too good to last!
Now I'm a desk jockey for a green energy company, a 2 mile commute in a 4.4-litre V8 is apparently inappropriate...
If anyone wants the most fabulous-sounding, huge load-carrying, rapid q-car for 3 and a half grand, drop me a PM and I can give chapter and verse.
It's such a hoot, it makes me grin every time I turn the key, but these days I'm just not using it and an impending house move to a smaller house with very limited parking, has overrun my last line of defence!

Hi Jim,
Very curious as to which V8 you have? At a guess......
A Merc E63 or C63?

Explains the 4.4 too.

Sorry everyone, been a bit busy!

The V8 has gone to a new home. It was a 2005 BMW 545i touring with the 4.4l motor. Tons of fun, with the best soundtrack of any car I've owned (once the back box was removed) and like a bellowing tsunami at full chat.
For a number of reasons I just couldn't justify keeping it, but I hope the new owner grins stupidly every time he starts it up like I did.
