Hey all, just came across a Facebook page (via Google) titled yellow project. I think it's a polish guy... I'm not on Facebook...so can't message him.

Anyhow, apart from the coupe being very quick it has an semi auto box with paddle shift.

Just wondering how this was engineered?

I have seen this one too, I think it's a VW DSG box he has.

This is the link for those with FB access:

this is his page:

doesn't seem to have any other way of contacting him other than via FB.

I've also seen it too and as Gunzi says, it is a VW DSG gearbox. Hats off to him for engineering the solution though

Def could be a game changer. Cool to see that people are still developing the coupe. Wonder what its like for ratios, handling the torque?

Gonna have to get someone to translate for me

I’ve always been a dyed in the wool manual only, but when it came to replacing my daily I gave in and bought a golf r estate which is only available in DSG. 2 years on and I’m glad I cast aside my preconceived ideas, it’s awesome. Mines a 7 speed DQ381 and it’s probably better than the manual for coping with high power/torque loading. There are many golfs running 500bhp plus with DSG and no problems, whereas the manual needs to have a heavy duty clutch otherwise it slips.

Mate has a VRS Octavia mapped with the DSG box. Certainly alot quicker between shifts than a standard 20yr old manual gearbox.

Need to explore the costs of the yellow coupe's conversion.
Have emailed the tuning website mentioned, I'll see if they reply

For clarity I was comparing the DSG to the golf manual box. I like the 6 speed manual in my coupe....
