Couldn't wait, I have to admit.

An hour and a bit ago the garage phoned up to say we finally have an MOT for our project car yipee

The last MOT date in the service book is showing as 10th Sept 02 which makes it over 18 years since the last, before it went on its final shopping outing (we found a Tesco receipt for March 2003 in the glove-box when we bought it in August 2017) and was then laid to rest under a bush at the owner's house. Apparently the lad had been given a Porsche..

Tomorrow is the final roadtest by one of us - it befalls me actually as the others are at work - after which it will collected and stored under cover until we can get round to refitting all the bits such as wheel-arch liners, sound-deadening and carpet removed before welding, all the other seats and interior trim.

It's not perfect yet, but with at least fresh oil and fluids along with complete new belt set, refurbed brakes and sorted clutch/gearchange we should be on the road smile

Quite excited, really laugh

Did you post photos of this Coop ages ago? Or am I thinking of another Coop?

Great stuff Simon and co. A Stirling effort indeed. As I’ve said before, it’s one thing doing this in a well stocked garage, but out in the open is amazing, need to see pictures of the yellow restructured car thumb

I'm an old git & happy with it,most of the time

At the 'run' today...

The new service stamp, at over 18 years apart, is a particular trophy!
