I bought a fiat Coupe 20 valve Turbo towards the end of last week. The car may be known here I'm not sure. She has a pretty comprehensive service history, and has very little rust. Mechanically all is fine except the sunroof switch which I need to do, and a couple of little jobs here and there. Bodywork is where she needs attention, there is a few marks and battle scars on both bumpers and along the drivers side. Nothing too drastic though thay cant be fixed.
First impressions are wow! What a car. I've wanted one for years, and have always had Lancias - currently got a Thema Turbo 16v with Integrale head rebuild so essentially an Integrale engine, and a Delta HF Turbo with a 2.0 8v engine in. I thought these were quick but this fiat is bonkers! It's standard too except a stainless exhaust, manual boost controller though that is set to standard, and an induction kit. The car and with a G Tech chip ready to fit too that I may fit at some point.
First job though is booking in wth Midlands Car Servicing for a cam belt change. The front Eiffel towers are also a bit rusty so will see the extent of the rust, and look at getting these sorted too. I haven't yet taken any pictures of the car so have put in some from the ad for now.

Thanks Countrycruising, that's good to know. Is one preferential or beneficial over the other between a voist controller or chip?
Edinburgh this one was from Hereford. P reg, and has 144,000 on the clock! I'd usually be a little wary of an older petrol with such high mileage but the service history, how healthy she sounds and purrs and how well she pulls I thought she was good enough to buy.
She cost me £2950. Prices seem to vary a lot on these, and to me I thought that with the service history, all the original bits eg airbox still with the car and the lack of rust she was well worth that. She certainly is for the smile factor so far!

Personally I prefer my road cars to be set up with original boost controller, the manual makes the power delivery very progressive so wet weather 1st and 2nd gear can light the tyres up, which is fine if you like that sort of thing
I also answered your email enquiry about the front eiffel towers, anything else I can quote you on please ask.
