Over a year of lockdown the Coupe has been on ramps being 'tinkered' with and generally dismantled and put back together again. Sometimes in the right order.

Welding, painting, replacing suspension, brakes and lines... Wheel refurb. A huge list. Still plenty to do including the sticky interior and a full respray. Bit for now she's passed the MOT after some sphincter twitching moments wondering whether the brakes were truly f**** or I'd just bodged the bleeding. Anyway, sorted and several hundred quid later I enjoyed a blast down the M4.

Sounds like we are on the same road Toby, if not necessarily the same stretch of M4!
Sadly keeping our cars roadworthy these days involves quite a bit of "tinkering".

Great result Toby and fair play keeping faith over all that time - having her running again just makes it all worth it

Cheers both.

Lockdown meant less travel (i.e. None) and for any essential trips we've used the Giulietta. So it has made sense to take the Coupe out of action on SORN and get to work. I've been doing my day job full time mostly from home, hence why its taken so long to get to this point.

Next trip will be to Joe's for some rear suspension fettling. He said I can have a 98.6% discount if I make the tea. wink OK. OK. I'll bring biscuits then...

Cheers Mark (x 2). This is a definite "restore for posterity" project. I know I ain't getting my money back.

Hope you are both enjoying yours.

How's your European Odyssey going Frazer?

Planning an A40/A48 trip with a couple of mates and their cars in the coming few weeks if the weather holds - probably ending up at Pendine Sands.
The Euros might get in the way though??? Good luck to Wales, less so Scotland! wink

It's all right for you Mark, hiding behind the Chilterns laugh

I'd like both England and Scotland to get through - bad luck after over 20 years Scotland are in at this stage and land up in a group with the auld enemy

Hi Toby,

All going great here in Bulgaria. Just about to get my plus registered here. Should be easy enough. I hope!

I'm impressed with the work that you have done over the last few months to your car. Looks great.

Worry not Simon - tradition dictates England will completely fail to cope against our highly motivated northern neighbours! tongue
Either way we both dismiss Croatia and Czech at our peril!!! laugh
