I've never used anything else but the 5 year timeline doesn't bode well.
What are the options when they turn the tap off?
This is how it should have come out of Torino!

I'm just about to change over to E85 based on the fact there are several 20vt running it here in France. One fella has been on it for the last 10 years using the car as a daily without any ethanol related issues - obviously after a remap. In the UK I would use it as an opportunity to change to more modern EV14 injectors (especially if your injectors are original and bit "iffy" and the lack of OEM spares) and then remap. Its an opportunity!!!

Just heard an advert on the radio saying pre-2011 model cars may not be compatible.
Is super/vpower/99 Ron not affected by this?

Here is the link to the government E10 vehicle compatibility site. https://check-vehicle-compatibility-e10-petrol.service.gov.uk/manufacturer/Is this sort of thing likely to happen to diesel fuel as well or will they just turn off the taps completely???? As well as the coupe, my 2.2JTS Alfa looks affected by the move to E10 as well.

According to that article I posted the net result is e10 fuel will burn hotter even though ethanol burns cooler. So we're all going to need timing remaps?

Doesn't impact on diesels apparently but wonder how MOT emissions may ultimately be an issue between E5 and E10 vehicles?
I know fuel additives are questionable but Miller's sell the Ecomax fluid where a £15 bottle treats 500 litres and gets rave reviews 'can increase octane rating by two numbers' is the claim.
Alternatively do one full tank of E5 then when half full top up with E10 then the same again when half full so there's still some E5 in the tank? Then back to a full E5 fill. Dunno if that would make any difference..

I was about to ask about E10 fuel and using it in a 20v turbo. Based on what read here, sounds like a remap is needed to be able to use e10 fuel when it is introduced. I've just been using premium 97/99 octane fuel in my coupe and will still use it for a while. Hope I've understood correctly.

I thought it was a waste of money to run any car on super unless you've had a remap to gain the benefits When I had my 20VT I only ran it on 95 based on that advice without any obvious issues.

Just been on HMGs comparability website and the coupe's not mentioned - typical It does list the Marea 2 litre which is the same base as our 5 pot NA. I'd hazard a guess the coupe isn't officially compatible

I wonder in how E10 fuel would work with Dell'orto carburettor in my Spider?
