So, I just bought another Coupe smile

A Yellow 20VT from JBT/Midlands Car Servicing, low mileage original unmolested UK car. Needs some things doing to get it back to pristine, but I have been amazed at how hard it is to find a good one now compared to when I had them previously, so I am now scouting for original new old stock parts or what may still be available to take it back to as close to how it left the factory as I can, should be fun.

The book made for an interesting/useful read (Thank you Joe and Neil for putting that together), and there is of course a wealth of videos now that there weren't before, things definitely seem a lot better catered for on that front. Shame the forum is so quite compared to what it was previously, but I guess that's the curse of Facebook and the like diluting where people go, however great to see there is so much archived here. Like many of you, I prefer the forum format for finding useful/proven information,

Anyhow, hope to bump into some of you along the way, if you are Northampton/Milton Keynes way hope to see you out and about.

Welcome (back) to the fold Che, sounds like a good find - looks as if it has been garaged too most of its life unless it's had a respray? How many owners before you?

Thanks for the welcome back. It was a one owner car up until it was bought by JBT, I'll in affect be the second owner. The bonnet has had paint, which you cant see in the picture but is ever so slightly different to the proper body colour in bright sunshine, and there has been a little touching up round the arches. Underneath is super clean, although the under radiator bar, slam panel etc have some corrosion, so I'll be looking for new ones (Looks like I have a slam panel on its way). The rear subframe is good but surface corrosion, so again I'm starting to look for one plus all the ancillaries now.

Personally I think Chrono Grey is the best colour, but I’ve had one of those and they are now a little out of my reach! 🤣

However, have bought the best that I could find by way of a stock standard Uk car, just had all the mechanicals overhauled by MCS, so can now start on all the cosmetic stuff which lol keep me busy over the winter.
