Hi All
This is the discussion group for my 20vt plus project.

Lots of questions I still need answering and lots of things still to do.

Thanks
Dan

Firstly well done for having taken this on and not been put off. There's no doubt some frightening things have been done to these cars on occasions and you've made the wise move to go to a specialist.

If the engine is good (what's the mileage?) and corrosion minimal you're doing well indeed, all the other things are fairly easily replaceable.

It looks tidy from the photos (not that keen on the spoiler tbh!) so hopefully soon you'll have a well-sorted coop smile

Thanks Edinburgh

The car has done 90 thou, it had some chip and boost controller fitted at some stage from the receipts that come with the car , I was not mad on the spoiler neither or the front splitter which literally caught the floor , but the spoiler was a dealer fit item and original stamps on it and I thought do I want it or not ? The biggest downside to it was the boot would not stay up because of it.
So I had already made my mind up the car was going to be put back to standard and that included the mechanical side aswell.

I will post the full progress so far in the other thread.

If you had (grudgingly) decided to keep the boot spoiler prom tem you could have replaced the boot springs with stronger ones....

The fitted springs hook into one of three lugs above the side carpet flaps - move the spring end into the rearmost lug...
