MrsC has rather rashly offered to buy stepson major a Go Pro, presumably so that we can review his final moments as he careers over a cliff on one of his downhill mountain biking adrenaline overdoses.
However, it turns out our budget is way too puny for a top model.

What would you guys recommend for biking and surfing (snow and sea) at under £300?

If it helps Jim, when I bought my Hero3+ (yes it was a while ago) I declined to buy their own dear-ish monitor and downloaded their app on my phone instead, which saved a bit of dosh.

Thanks! I'll bear that in mind!

I've found a "hardly used" GoPro Hero 7 with a bunch of accessories for £120. It may not be the very latest model, but as I imagine it will end up getting rapidly and catastrophically disassembled fairly soon, that's probably not a bad thing!
Hope it is as good as it looks in the ad!

Ooh - sorry I’m late to this. I have a Go Pro that will be coming surplus to requirements
