Afternoon all.

It's been a long few years but I'm back! laugh

Hung up my membership back in 2013 when I took the old one off the road and finally sold it in 2017.

The good news is ,I've just been given a 98 sprint 20vt! shocked

It's definitely in need of a lot of work, mostly cosmetic and a bit of rust to sort. Currently not running (cranking well but just not firing) but after a diagnostic and a good play around on the ramp yesterday, it appears to be the phase sensor, so will be ordering one up this coming week to get her fired up!

It's going to be a long term project, with a lot of work to be put in and parts replaced. I plan on keeping this one pretty much standard, maybe give it a hybrid turbo?! chinny

Will be addressing rust first (anyone have any sills??) Then sorting the running out. Once that's done, it'll be piecemeal stuff with a respray at the end of it!

Glad to be back, expect a huge shopping list in the parts wanted soon.

Thanks Brilly,

Yes, will be doing most of it myself with the help of a couple of mechanic/welder friends and paintshop eventually for the respray.

GTV is a lovely car but unfortunately not mine, another customer of my mechanic friend, currently mid way through its own resto

Just one thing, Jon: if you keep it parked on the ceiling, sooner or later it will fall off! laugh

The grip on those tyres is amazing!

Good luck with your project.
