I got a message last evening from Simon, reminding me about the Jackie Stewart do, in June.
It's a bit of a trek up north for us, but I thought that we could stop over a night or two and have a mini break.
That's when the problem started. I haven't slept a wink all night.
It wasn't the distance that the coupe had to drive, or the pre trip preparation.
It wasn't the language barrier or funny money.
I wasn't worried about the fact that a Yorkshireman would have to pay MONEY to a hotel.
I wasn't concerned that I needed to convince my wife that sitting around in a field with other anoraks was a joyful experience to be anticipated.
What kept me awake with worry, and showed me that I really am old, is the main thought of whether I should arrange to take COMFORTABLE SHOES.
aaarrrggghhh

The only ever answer to the comfy shoes question is yes.

Up yours Photobucket.
