The Faringdon Folly
Well, the Z4 developed a prolific oil habit (half a litre per tank of petrol!) after 3 years of ownership, and following the rules of bangernomics, it had to go.

Replaced with an '11 Plate Honda CR-Z with 130K miles for the princely sum of £2500, in full working order. A couple of parking dings, and needed a good clean, but I love it so far. OK, so it's not hugely fast, but buzzes along reasonably, with a nice electric boost for overtaking, and it has a dash even cooler than the 20vT I had many moons ago.

I remember liking them when they came out, and the idea of a manual hybrid is pretty cool, and is full of interesting touches, such as the traction motor acting a alternator and starter motor (It does have an emergency, traditional starter in case the traction battery is totally dead), so the battery it tiny, and only really runs the ancillaries.

The view out the back window takes a bit of getting used to, but a small price to pay given 50mpg and £20 a year in road tax.....
