I now have a garage for my two coupe's. They have been outside for the last couple of years. Its not good with the very hot temps in summer and very cold in the winter so I am very happy to have them both inside again. Its not 100% done but I can use it now. No A/C in there as yet so too hot to do big jobs at the moment. Parts are ordered for the yellow coupe cam belt change, but probably will only get done in September due to the heat. Benches and storage still to build as well as finished trim pieces for the roof.

I didn’t trust the local electricians to do the wiring so I did that myself. We are renovating the house but I was only interested in the garage so the wife got what she wanted for the house!!! Still a lot to do though. Both cars are overdue a cam belt change so I was desperate to get the garage sorted. Many moons ago I was a mechanic (only a couple of years) and wanted a garage with space around a car for easy access. Been a long time coming. So now very happy. Even though I am a Yorkshire man.

Fantastic Kaci. We would love to meet you. Both coupes are now registered here in Bulgaria. We both love the place. My Bulgarian is terrible, but I am trying to learn a little. Please send details of the meeting on 10th September.

A bit cleaner than mine and I bet you don't have to contend with a pair of Redstarts that come every year and next on the beam above the coupe! They tend not to poo on it, but there's always a pile of dust that they have dislodged!

The old garage in France was big but was an old barn. Not good as it was always full of wildlife. No lights either. This is way better. I seem to remember you have a large barn Paul. I think yours has decent lighting.

Hi Frazer, Yes our barn is pretty good by french standards! It's 60 sqM with a nice level concrete floor, watertight and secure, has a second floor for storage and plenty of light from both large windows and the main doors, plus 9 x double LED strip lights. I have portable LED lighting too and there are 8 double sockets for power.
It helps that in the distant past, our property was a builders merchants, so I have workshops which despite how they look from the outside, also have nice level floors. I added double glazing and insulated all the walls so they are good to work in either in summer or winter!
The Redstarts have been coming for years, so we have a window with a missing top pane and they use that as their 'doorway'. Their young also use the barn for 'flying lessons' before they leave.
