Hello. The idea of buying a direct center tube, buzzes in my head all the time, but I'm not sure it would bring me more sound. Does anyone have this confuguration in the coupe of him and could you tell me if it's worth it? my current configuration is: Downpipe 70mm. Catalyst 200 cells. Catalyst modification: inlet 70mm, outlet 60mm. Ragazzon center pipe with silencer shortbox. Ragazzon final with double barrel.
I would like to replace the central unit with the direct pipe without silencer, always made by guys.
All advice is welcome.
Thank you.

hi, so my setup is a 3 inch system all the way to the back into what i think is a toyosports or scopion backbox. NO CAT. tho...it could be 3.5 inch from the turbo back tbh. it looks a little fat to be 3 inch in my opinion. sound svery smooth and refined. pops and bangs and flames naturally. i think theres a small resonator in my system tho. what are you trying to do? get alot more sound?

not sure what you mean by terminal, but the bigger and more free flowing - the louder it should be in theory, certainly get alot of turbo whistle, mine sounds just like those screaming old group b audi rally cars from days of old. yes resonators make a differencebut how much i dont know, but i think the cat converter delete really gives the 5 cylinder a MUCH MORE HEAVY AND THROBBING note sort of like you can feel it like a heart beat - thats the best way i can describe it pal. passed my mot without it aswell which was naughty haha

the stock t28 you have to keep the cat on unless you get uprated 360deg thrust bearings, at that stage you may aswell go for a different one tho. my advice in this case is remove any silcencers etc and have a bigger bore pipe from the cat back, 3 or 3.5 inch if possible.

trust me, i killed 3 standard t28 turbos on my first coupe. they dont like decats, and they dont like running without any sort of recirc or twin piston atmospheric bov installed. it kills the turbo seals.

i see, just get a stainless steel pipe welded in place that has no silencer, not sure itll make much difference tho, the cost may outweigh the end result and dissappoint you. not much you can do for loudness unless you get an open wastegate/screamer pipe welded to your manifold, thats a real pain in the arse. unless you want to bodge it and just run short stubby a bit of pipe straight off the turbo aimed down to the ground. ive done that before. that was ear bleedingly loud. even short trips in it were unbearable.

I have 2 coupes. One has 2 x silencers and the other only 1 x silencer. The photos above are the same as I have with 1 x silencer at the back of the car. There is really not a lot of difference between the 2 cars. The 1 x silencer car is a little louder but not so much. It does sometimes set of other car alarms though so the frequency must be different. Both cars have a 200 cell catalyst. Hope this helps.

peronally. id change the rear box for a big bore cannon style one. that made my catted coupe quite loud. and go with the center non baffled pipe. i had a 5.4 inch supra style can on my old 20vt. bloody huge but did the job. it was made by turbo revs

There is only a very small difference in sound. The one with a single silencer is slightly louder but not much. The sound is deeper though. I think this is why other car alarms sometimes go off. I cannot do a video comparison for you as I am doing some refurbishment work on one car right now.
