Just been looking at an auction for a BMW 850ci V12, awesome spec but just doesn't look right in red, is it just an 'italian thing'? For me they should be grey or black, is it just me?

I drove the 650 CSI back in the 80's and loved that car in red. I had never seen the 850 in true red, seen a few in the wine red metallic but never red. It must be quite rare?

I think I might be being harsh on BMWs, I think it might be the size of the car too big/too much? I saw a big red Merc and that didn't look right to me either, as Bob says there are more wine red ones and they don't seem so bad, maybe the rarity aspects effect how we see them eg one is surprised to see a red Ferrari but what about a brown one?. Now I'm going to accused of being beastly to the Germans!
