Hey all,

I'm looking to make anywhere between 400-500 hp with my 20VT somewhere in the distant future and have been making a small list of what I will possibly need to work towards and am now wondering if I am missing anything and what are some reasonable choices between e.g. turbos etc. This is my first coupe and first time getting into modding so forgive my ignorance.

Here's what I've got so far from the short time I've spent going through the forums:

-wössner forged pistons + forged rods
-garrett gtx3076r .63 A/R or gtx3071r .82 A/R?
-custom 3 inch downpipe & exhaust (+ custom exhaust manifold for T3 turbo?)
-pro alloy intercooler (+ cold air intake?)
-siemens 630cc injectors
-walbro 255LPH GSS340 fuel pump
-helix organic clutch or paddle clutch?
-uprated brakes

Also would love to hear about any experiences good and bad with certain manufacturers e.g. gazzella racing, hayward and scott, pro alloy etc.

I've also heard mixed opinions on whether a standalone ecu is necessary for running larger injectors or not, if it is possible I would rather stick with the oem ecu but would like some clarification on this as well.

Any advice is appreciated

My advice at this stage would be to talk to Leighton Wilson from FC Performance, Flea on here as he's built and mapped more coupes than anyone and will steer you correctly so that you can achieve those figures.

I've tried contacting through the contact form on the fcperformance website which only gives an error and tried emailing them at enquiries@fcperformance.co.uk but I haven't gotten a response. Is there a better way to contact them? Is Flea active on this forum? Or is there anyone else I should try contacting?

Forget about:
- GTX and go for Borg Warner EFR straight away.
- crappy Siemens injectors and go for Bosch
- old school Proalloy and buy Treadstone Performance + custom pipes
- Walbro 255 and buy AEM 340lph if you want to keep it in-tank
- OEM ECU and buy MaxxECU with adapter + proper tune
