Hi, just wondering if anyone has replaced the original steering wheel with one of the fancy wooden ones?

Hello Carmine.

I don't like that wheel. I think that it's a bit too bling.
But maybe that's because I'm an old man.

Very best wishes

Paul

Nah doesn't work for me, brown with the red just clashes and doesn't look right, much like Abarth badges...................... on a Coupe box

........... runs and hides coat

It was just an example I found on a coupe,
I too personally wouldn't opt for wood but maybe a sports version,
I always think the shape and color of the original are quite spot on.

Remember Carmine.

It is your car, not our's.

I look at mine and think that it looks great. So it is right for me.

If you make changes and love the look, then it is right for you !

In the video, is that really solid wood or just a tan leather wheel?

Seems to be a tan leather Isotta Katenia: https://www.croooober.com/en/item/cparts/00000103/Steerings/10320934/ISOTTA-KATIENA

I'd go for a Nardi Deep Corn...

...or Nardi Kallista, if you have too much money left over after petrol and energy bills and want to feel like you drive a Pagani:

astounding, truly. and I thought it was wood.
the ones in the photos are nice,
are they plug and play?
what should be observed when buying another steering wheel?

Most (all?) aftermarket steering wheels need a model specific hub to fit:

Else to consider, perhaps somewhat obvious:
- total depth from wheel rim to hub mounting surface. Depending on how near/far you want to reach.
- grip, varies somewhat between laquered wood, leather, to suede.
- feel - burning hot in summer, freezing cold in winter?
