Car tax has gone up again. Pre 2001 cars in the bigger engine category are now £325 a year - a fairly chunky increase.

Mine's on SORN at the moment after an MOT failure. I was going to get it sorted this year but now I'm not so sure. Might have to leave it in my garage under covers waiting for I don't know what.

Can't even visit my friends in London without having to pay £12.50 ULEZ charge.

It was never a cheap hobby but becoming ridiculous now.

yep, I've just put mine back on the road, but will only use it for 6 months of the year, so the cost doesn't feel so bad

Thankfully I'm nowhere near the ULEZ area, otherwise I'm not sure I'd have bought another coupe to pay another tax on top

Living in the poxy country is becoming such a tough gig...........just received an email from APC stating their fees are increasing again, it cost me £20.22 to send a pair of discs to a client last week!

The peoples choice re Brexit has also not aided plans for a bit of freedom and democracy in warmer southern climbs....all now sadly in the bin.

Luckily plenty of other countries where people are treated as free, taxed more reasonably...and allowed to retire at an age before they fall down. Rather then face every increasing costs, restrictions, bans and infaltion.

I saw that some stores are now locking away large packs of butter....lol way to go UK!

Sad times lets hope things can improve. Or some escape routes remain open!

Wow, road tax seems to be rather pricy these days - actually we left the Uk some 7 years ago and I can't remember now what it used to be!

It's a lot just for having a car....

I Just paid £178 for 6months plus £220 for the Mito! Don't know where all this money is going, not on the roads that's for sure potholes everywhere!
