It's been a while, used to be on first name terms with most of them but the 20VIS has been pretty good by and large for a 25yr old. Yesterday proved a low point not the coupe but the AA, the clutch slave cylinder went at the bottom of the high street around midday in the Easter hols, busy busy busy. The AA said they'd be there by 315, only a few hours to kill with cars running very close to my rear end. Then it was 345 but they were so busy they'd contracted it out and the contractor would be in touch; nothing. they encourage you to communicate online and the telephone system is rubbish, at the end of the online system it says they need more info and that you need to phone! Your call is important to them they say as you wait in a que to be answered for 20mins, usually to be cut off when the person answering puts you on hold whilst they try to find out what the problem is, after 4 such calls and online requests a person says they'll be with in 5 mins such excitement it's 10 to 6 now. 10 to 7 and still no sign, phone call reveals no-one is coming and they can divert another job, have a taxi home and come back if someone turns up or pick up in the morning. We live about 30 mins away and confirmed that if someone did turn up they'd wait for me to get back, about 20mins into the journey home i get a call, where are you I'm by your vehicle, ok i'll be 20 min, Can't wait that long and off, the AA are fine but their contractors need some customer service training, I'd been stuck there for 6hrs and he couldn't wait 20 mins, sure it was a busy day . Eventually they agreed a time this morning and a proper AA man arrived, a coupe fan who worked on them in the past, would have fitted it on the roadside had been going some distance if he could find the part.
