Hey all,

In a nutshell which ones, where from and what are my options?

I thought about konis, but remember reading somewhere you have to modify existing shocks.

Cant seem to get hold of bilstein. A whisper among the trees tell me osravs are better anyway.

In the words of Terry Tibbs, "talk to me"

Zagato Lancia sell the Osrav adjustables - www.lancia.org.uk. Give them a call. They're made to order so expect to wait a couple of months. Price for the full set was about £700 in 2022. There's more info. in the other threads on this subject.

On this note - has anyone have any experience with KW Variant 1 suspension?

Thanks wink ill drop them an email tonight.

Id never heard of them before looking into it here. But they seem to be "the ones you want". Lead time isnt an issue aslong i can get my finance dept (wife) to agree to it

Do they come with springs and "just a bolt on bolt off", i appreciate top mount work is a given when swaps happen.

Hi,
They are just the shock absorber, (I paid £710 IIRC), you'll need springs (I bought an Eibach set), and also top mounts and bearing

Cheers Jamie

To be precise, the rears are just shock absorbers with hole top and bottom for mounting bolts. The fronts are struts, including the spring pan for the front spring. I got a garage to fit them.

Zagato... emailed. ill drop an updated price and availability here once i get a reply.

Further reading suggests i may be just fine with an OEM "factory" setup.

im kinda cool with it because a set of Osrav's will be ballpark £700 plus Eibachs +£3-400... plus all the rest of the suspension bits i need i.e pretty much everything. as you can see this starts getting expensive FAST...

i'll still entertain this set up, but im not sure its what i will finally land on.

£800+ £15shipping. circa 8wk lead time... with eibachs at around £350.

Its not an option for me. ill be going TRW i think.

For completeness, Zagato advise the Osravs are "30% stiffer" at base setting with stiffer adjustment if needed for track etc.

thanks for the input guys, its always appreciated

Hi rich, the Eibach springs are listed quite a bit cheaper on their website, if it helps you

Cheers Jamie

Certainly more palatable than £1165... but still out of my budget this time round.

Its purely due to the rest of the work needed at the moment. If all i needed was shocks & springs id have bought them already wink

Also after thumbing through the sticky it appears that "oem" + PU + rear ARB will suffice for what i need/want. The old girl is literally on factory bushes all round so even wet paper towel will be an improvement

There's a new combo of KYB rears, TRW fronts + eibach springs on FB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/150996231950001/

What are the osravs like with standard springs. I assume if you can adjust them then you don't need to change the springs!

Yes one of my Coupes have Osravs and standard springs, great match with adjustability to harden the rebound for those track days.

Hi Joe,

Glad to hear the Osrav shocks work with standard springs. I am thinking of getting them - would they improve the ride quality significantly (and at what settings for best ride/handling compromise)? Thanks

They're far superior to the OE dampener but like everything it comes at a cost as they're not cheap, adjustable dampening you'll get used to and adjust to suit, soft is magic carpet ride imo.
