I got flagged down by a motorist to tell me my passenger side dip wasn't working, it occurs to me in all the years I've been owning coops i've never had one go! I had my last one 7yrs+ and over 100k, a quick look this morning and although i may need a contortionist it doesn't look too bad, the wind is too strong to risk going under the bonnet for any length time though.

Easy to do, though your back may not thank you.

I have to take the headlight out of the bonnet, or ask Jake to do it, lol

The real fun thing I have found is changing the headlight adjustment motors with the lights in situ; particularly when you can't feel your fingers.

If you're going to take the headlight unit out, be sure that you give the mounting nuts a squirt of releasing fluid the day before. It's embarrassing to realise you've just screwed the second stud off...

Really not that difficult, my point was i'd never had one go in all these years, mind you plenty of other things have gone wrong to more than make up for it! I had a Rover where the headlight bulbs went every few months, access was via a flap in the wheel arch and mostly blind, the access for the Brera is a bit tight to say the least so this is bit of a doddle once the osteopath has done his magic.

Funny really, I didn't find it a problem at all replacing bulbs or when I was testing the circuits recently due to mouse attack. My issue was the rubber covers over the backs of the lights - no idea why, but found them a real faff fitting them whilst looking up!

For some reason, most Euro countries require you to carry replacement bulbs, but none, as far as I know, require you to carry the special (or in some case, specialist) tools required to actually replace them. At least the coupe bulbs can all be done at the roadside... my French Thing[tm] has several clusters which require return-to-dealer, according to the manual. And if you happen to need to change a headlight, as I had to do twice in one trip earlier this year, you need a T25 driver. And another bulb
