Good video but not entirely correct.

Audi launched the i5 in the Audi 100 & 200 (Models badged 5E) in 1976. It was the 2.1 with 136 PS and was fuel injected and ran until 1882 when Audi re-designed the Audi 100.

Two carburetted versions were also introduce to the Audi 100 AFTER the fuel injection models these were badged 5S:

The 2..1 carburetted 115 PS motor which ran from 1978 - 1982 in the Audi 100 and also in the Audi 80.

There was also the 1.9 carburetted 100 PS which ran from 1980 to 1982 in old Audi 100. It was the only 5 cylinder with a carb to be carried into the new 1982 (C3) Audi 100. This engine was also in the Audi 80 (B2) 5S. It was dropped in 1984 from both cars. In 84 the Audi 80 had a facelift and lost all five cylinder motors to the new Audi 90, but in those facelift Audi 90's I understand they were all injected 5's, most of which continued into the B3 Audi 80.

The biggest killer of carburetted 5 cylinder models was not the rough running. Having worked on many Audi 5S cars I know they ran really sweet, and actually sounded better than the fuel injected Audi Coupé's I had at that time. No, the biggest killer of the carburettor on the inline 5 Audi was their decision to reduce emissions and begin fitting catalytic converters to cars in the Audi range.
