You see everybody, YORKSHIRE !!
A proper place, not like some weirdo place like on the Avon or Severn. I tried to go and visit them a couple of visits ago, before they changed premises. Unfortunately Google didn't know about them, but did know about another restoration company with a very similar name, also in Yorkshire. Joe will attest that there was some confusion for a while MM Simon? Whodat?

Neil, My Mechanics. I see what you mean about the 260Z restoration, it is totally insane; I would happily believe the entire car was actually manufactured in "filler" , with some accident repairs using metal patches It's a different, more realistic in many ways, world in YRC to the clinically sanitised one of My Mechanics; having said that they are both superbly skilled. I really admire the tenacity of the Yorkshire chap after trawling through well over 2 dozen of their videos although I'm not keen on the banal chat and constant musack behind the scenes, you don't get that in MM.

MM: I realised just now... and yes, I have. I know what you mean about the background musak on YRC; drives me crazy. But then, you and I were brought up in more genteel times Steve - the father - has a better delivery than son Ryan; less about how absolutely disastrous it is and more about the shaping and fitting. But they're both pretty good, though Joe tells me they weld in the wrong direction. MM's Z is barely rusty, to be honest; California car? My 240 had more rust than that in 1986.

Yes the kind climate was a factor in the purchase I think. It's the pursuit of 'perfection' which is intriguing - it seems there are limitless resources though. I liked the dry ice application for removing sound-deadening
