Hi all, I have a Sprinty 20vt. Over the last few months, various items in the engine bay have been replaced. While the front end was off, the turbo was reconditioned as there was some play there and Essex Turbos kindly upgraded it so it's good to stage 2 (although not called a Hybrid). I have a Direnza radiator, 3inch downpipe and race cat with full stainless exhaust too, and predictably the car runs poorly (I think over-fueling). I have asked about a remap locally and they recommend a standalone ECU which is around £2K. I'm trying to find someone else that will map it (FC performance?) but will I also need a FMIC? Or can a map tie the mods together. I'm not looking for huge power, I was hoping for a bit more response especially lower down the rev range. Thanks in advance!

There's no reason it should run poorly due to those mod's even with a standard chip. I'd get the poor running problem sorted before looking at further tuning.
Thanks ExCoupe. I'll dig a little more. The only thing I can think of now is thermostat as everything else is pretty much new! Smoke tested, compression good, MAF good, etc
