In short the overall condition is very good, there are no dents, there are a few chips as expected on a 25 year old car. The boot area is super clean with minimal rust, which is one of the reasons I could see it was a good example. I bought this car two years ago to save (not keep as I already have a Sprint Blue Plus in the garage) the car had been off the road since 2008. It went to Joe (FCSS) and was put straight in for a mot of which it only failed on tyres, windscreen wipers and a broken front suspension spring.
This is a very rare original/genuine car with only 74.400 on the clock (will go up but only slightly) with 3 previous owners and all it’s original paperwork, history and original service book including a Reg Vardy sales pack/folder including all three keys (which includes the red master key). The car has it’s original Clarion car stereo with CD changer in the boot (and it all works). It still has the original cargo net in the boot and original Reg Vardy front and back number plates. The original alarm still works with two working fobs. The car holds good oil pressure, over 3 bar from cold and the lowest i've seen it when hot is over 2 bar.
Over the last 2 years I have, had the wheels refurbished with new Toyo Proxes TR1’s fitted, all exterior black parts and rocker cover have been professionally powdercoated, centre console stripped/repainted, driver’s seat foam bolster professionally repaired (new foam), new thermostat and sensor, pollen filter, front headlight refurbished including LED bulbs, discs and pads, new clutch and all the underside has been newly under-sealed inc waxoil (there are no holes or welding, I just wanted it to be as fresh as possible, this work was done by Torque Automotive), oil service using 10W60 fully synthetic oil and new AC/alternator and power steering belts (PowerItalia), refurbished turbo. Before I bought the car the front calipers had been rebuilt by Big Red and Joe (FCSS) had fitted a new cambelt, waterpump and pully guard.
The only modifications on this are due to the lack of original parts, these parts are a Direnza alloy radiator, full set of Viper silicone water hoses and a cat back Scorpion Exhaust.
The car passed its mot in Februray with no advisories.
