Yellow peril hasn’t been getting much of my attention lately
2 young kids have been taking up all my time but I can see light at the end of the tunnel in about a year and a half when both are at nursery or school and as a result my coupe turning into a plus replica is moving on even further I already had bits and pieces namely the wheels
Steering wheel door handles gearstick and handbrake gaiters

But now the recaro seats have been secured in a price I just couldn’t say no to, probably stop short of putting a six speed gearbox in it though

Currently off road needing it’s cambelt etc done due to age not mileage and laquer peel quite bad but yellow peril is still very much in my plans

Good stuff Alan, hope the family's thriving smile

Might we see you at any of the shows this summer?

Mine's getting its bonnet done atm, turning out there were more holes lurking than anticipated. The guys are metal fabricators as opposed to "fillers" which I really like but it's taking an age while they work around their other jobs frown

Hi Simon
Yes they are growing up pretty fast
Going to Spain in May with the two trouble makers
Getting there picture taken for their passports probably hardest thing I’ve done in my life!

I plan on going to thirlestane but pretty certain it will be in a spectating capacity
2026 is more realistic for showing off my car again

I have kind of a replica, its only missing the six speed gearbox and the start button.

But it needs some paintwork and etc. I only drive little in it, so spending money on another gearbox right now seems like a bad decision, and the 5 speed in it is working flawless.

But its not L.E bodykit either, its different brands, i guess i really dont care to get it a replica of a plus.

I had a rough but good Coupe plus earlier, i sold it because i had to use it daily, and it was hard to fix it due to this reason. Sold it off too cheap to someone else who restored it all the way through.

Upside on this one (1998) is it had a upgraded clutch and Garret turbo and been finetuned by a proffesional company. A bill of 30.000 kroner (equilant to 3.482,22 british pund). and it have the plus stuff like the recaro's, white dials, that strutbar in the engine room, front grill and so on....

Especially the Recaro's are a nice thing to have, mostly because they look damn good lol.

For me, it's the comfort which makes them a winner wink
