Drop your TV-remotes, and grab your polishing cloths! It's time to warm the highland tarmac again with the wheels of Coupé FIATs!
Join us on a whizz-round tour from Stirling to Blair Atholl for lunch on Saturday 19th April.
We start at 09:30 at the Highland Gate Pub in Raploch for a quick cuppa and tyre-kicking session, before departing via Blair Drummond and Lochearnhead on the A84. Going over the Glenogle Pass, we journey to the Falls of Dochart as we pass through Killin, before following the spectacular lochside of Loch Tay down to Kenmore. From here we follow the River Tay through Aberfeldy and then over the Tummel at Logierait to Ballanluig. A quick blast on Scotland's Route 66 (the A9) sees us to our lunch destination of the Atholl Arms Hotel in Blair Atholl for 13:00.
Dig out your Type 175 and join-the-family for the first communal-drive event of the year!

Despite a few key people dropping out at the last minute, some new faces appeared who were most welcome and we had a great cohort of eager drivers to share the coffee & tarmac with!
The odd cyclist and camper-van aside, the roads were dry and trouble free, the cars without issue and weather actually broke into sunshine during lunch.
The venue locations were terrific and our Raploch start gave unparalleled carpark space for us to hookup together. Some of the catering organisation was a bit blurry at both venues, but the company made up for it- It's a sure sign things are going well, when you massively overshoot your leaving times, and realise suddenly you've spent two hours on lunch!
Our turnout included;
Edinburgh Paulie3 & Mrs-to-be Rosso & Mrs & (club mascot) Nero Dante Giacosa & Mrs Abarth-124-Mark and his brother Baz TwelveTeaVan & his father and newbie-to-the-cause; Connor and his Da' Colin
Connor is a prospective owner will hopefully be joining-the-family soon himself (and this forum! *cough*). He got-in his first (albeit brief) stint behind the wheel, and also rode-shotgun with Edinburgh on the first stage upto Killin. It was terrific to get to meet him and his Da'
Here is a first-wave of some pics, in no particular order...

On the strength of our Highland Spring Saturday which was an undoubted success all-round, feelers are being put in place for a Southern Upland-based trip on a weekend day in May or June. It's been a few years what with one thing or another that we've organised and undertaken an event like this; not only was it terrific to see a group of coupés in convoy again against the backdrop of our stunning Scottish scenery but also to welcome the new faces / owners into the local Coupé community to offer friendship and advice.
Having just received feedback from two of these newcomers we can narrow down potential dates to the following:- please indicate your availability!
May Sat 3rd - not Connor Sun 4th
Sat 10th Sun 11th
Sat 17th Sun 18th
Sat 24th not available (Sun 25th - Hopetoun House event)
Sat 31st June Sun 1st
Sat 7th - not Peter (Sun 8th - Thirlestane event)
Sat 21st Sun 22nd
Sat 28th - not Edinburgh Sun 29th - not Edinburgh

I wish it was one of the AR greats but it's a Giulietta Sport 1.4tb Never had an Alfa before so needed one that should be easy to live with and with 5 door practically etc. Wanted a 916 Spider but Mrs GMan said no more old cars - the coupe is 30 yo (in storage) and the MGTF is 23 yo so can't complain TBH
Could bring the MG instead but reckon we need to keep the Italian theme
