If not an oxymoron, just read someone has done 279k in a ferrari 360, I guess some fiat/alfa diesels would have done more but what is the best?

My 2000 year Alfa 156 2.4 Diesel covered 108,000 miles before it had an oil leak from the crank seal. It was £1000 to fix so sold the car. My 2012 Alfa Mito 1.3 diesel covered 72,000 miles before it went back to the lease company nothing went wrong with that car not even a light bulb.(Most reliable car I have ever driven) It was extremely economical but also slow compared to my Coupe.

I appreciate it's not just about mileage, just as well as I've just read about a volvo P1800 thats done 3.2 million! If you can afford one or a 360 then you've got the money to maintain it or replace bits you'd probably not bother with more humble vehicles, most fiats would fall into this bracket. Possibly the coop isn't and there are several with over 200K.
I sense that my VIS is more reliable than my 16vt (I know I'll regret saying that!) but it could be that I'm not using it as a daily driver thus it's not so drastic when it does, only has twice; a hose and a pipe, which isn't bad.

Well we have had our abarth punto evo ss for 11 years and it has only just let us down. Aircon broke; absolutely love the car. We have never kept a car as long and it's staying with us for eternity or until it starts letting us down lol
