Got a cambelt for next year so looking at other big jobs thst could be done whilst down at specialist.
How often should the coolant hoses be changed?
CHOD was done about 9 years ago.
Thx

I have found that the hoses last around the 10 year mark, but by this stage they are in a pretty bad way. They get really soft and tend to start to leak due to damage where the jubilee clips are.

I have only ever used Viper hoses after replacing the original Fiat hoses.
If you go with Viper you may have to talk to them as I think that they are a special order nowadays, but I could be wrong.

I did buy a set that I don't remember the name of (but they were UK made) and chucked them in the bin as the wall thickness varied massively from one side of each hose to the other. It wasn't worth the risk as I doubted that they would last very long at all.

Not sure if anyone else manufactures these now.

I see you’re in Leicestershire, what specialist are you using?

I replaced the CHOD on my car last year and it was the original! It actually looked to be in decent shape to me. I expect the rest of my hoses are original too; I think most hose kits have been for the turbo rather than the NA so I’m not sure where I’d get replacements for all of them from.

I think they will make hose to any customise length as needed as well.

Likely not the cheapest way of doing it- have attached a link to the current coupe offering.
