My car has been looking sad and lonely for the last month or so, with only the odd school run.

Cold and wet so I haven't washed it. Plenty of sunshine this afternoon, so we did the Middlesbroring, clockwise.

Brilliant fun.

Paul

10C here in Auld Reekie and winter definitely seems to be on the wane; BB still under cover though but must start her this week as don't want another flat battery event!

Weather improving here but not good enough to get the cars washed. We'll see, but I am hopeful that next week maybe good enough.
No rain today so makes a change to be driving on dry roads.

Finally-got her out of slumber and back on the road.

The weekend was cold and thick with fog...but dry. And with an MOT looming next month - its time for her to have the start of some shakedown runs now-regardless of what the weather is.

I checked fluid levels, leads and all hoses- before firing her up and bringing her outside. I let her run while I gave her a quick clean and checked the tyres - I found that even though i put extra pressure in them to stop the tyres becoming flattened- they were all over the place re pressure.

She's been run regularly over hibernation - but its still nearer 3 months since her last trip out.

She handled it all fine - she certainly felt lumpy suspension wise for a few miles - I suspect this is mainly the tyre related-and hoping the round off with some use as they all have v good tread. After about 5-7 miles thinks seemed much more flowing and with T's and P's where they needed to be - the revs could be raised.

She felt better and better each mile that went by.

So - hopefully a longer trip - I'd really like to get a couple of hundred miles through her before the MOT - as she struggles with the emissions if not given a good italian tune up before the MOT.

Mind starting to look at the next jobs to tick off....hopefully some warmer weather will make getting under her again more tempting! Its not going to happen till the mud and water are gone.

But- she's back out and about officially now. Roll on the sun!

Regards

MM

Good to hear that MM

Washed my car last week.

Spoiled almost immediately by the late Ayotollah's ashes leaving a layer of dust.
Im going to have a strong word with Donald.
