My name's Andy and I've been a fan of the Fiat Coupe ever since my friend's mum had one back in the late 1990s when I was at school.
Having had a few near misses with buying Coupes in the past, bid on a yellow Fiat Coupe race car last year which had previously campaigned in the CSCC championship around 15 years ago. I actually didn't win the car at that time, but fast forward a few months and the car was up for sale again as the unfortunate person that was successful at the auction had the timing belt let go and he wasn't in a position to fix it. Given I was planning on going racing myself, and I've always loved the Coupes, I thought it was a good opportunity for me.
The car's been with AllItalia in Wrexham for the past few months getting (basically) a new engine, and a lot of other work to revive the car which much have sat around for a number of years.
I'm a novice racer myself, as I've not financially been in a position before to go racing, but I've signed up to compete in the Alfa Intermarque Championship modified class for 2026 - very much excited about that.
Not sure if any of the previous owners have been on the forum, but happy to share more of the car specs if people are interested. I don't seem to have permission to post photos at this time (maybe because I'm a new user).
Hi Andy and welcome to the Club and forum. Your membership will be processed shortly now that payment has been received.
Do keep us updated regarding your coupé adventures and fettling. If your are taking it on track there is a dedicated forum where you can post.
I have a feeling that one of our longest-serving Club members might have worked at AllItalia in the past; I don't suppose you can remember the colour of your friend's mum's coupé?
My friend's mum's car was a Scott's Green Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo. Last seen (by me) in Canterbury around 1998
Will post in the track forum once I get the car back. I've not actually driven it myself yet but have it booked in for a Trackday at Oulton Park in 10 days, ahead of the first race meet at Snetterton at the end of April.
Ed Robinson has tempted me several times to participate in the Alfa Intermarque Championship with my track cars but I've never had the time of disposable funds so it'll be great to finally see a Coupe on the line up, best of luck
Car drove well thanks. Turned in where I wanted, stopped well too.
The boost was really restricted and I tried not to rev above 4K rpm, so the speeds were all a little underwhelming. I couldn’t actually pass a Celica on the straights.
