Yes, touristy - mainly French, I guess because of its proximity - but lovely people, smiling, kind and patient.
There was an American couple next to us in a coffee bar one of whose bag had been snatched (like described above) but they phoned a tracker on it which beeped and the thief dropped it all in an alleyway, nothing taken!
The 2 days in Genoa not nearly enough, left us wanting more hopefully on a future occasion.
Food not too variable, usually local specialities involving seafood and lots of trofie (a type of pasta) with Genovese pesto which they're famed for.
Now to stop shrugging my shoulders, palms splayed outwards

A super experience, even the Leaning Tower in Pisa was awesome in spite of the crowds
