I don't know what to do. Living in France makes it more difficult, but I have my original set of RHD headlights (still fitted with HIDs) which of course are not really of use to me, unless the Coupé ends up going back to the UK.

I'm not ready to give up the Coupé, but one day it will go. It only does about 1000 miles a year, possibly a bit more and as a RHD car the market will inevitably be the UK.

But I have these headlights doing nothing and I guess they have a value. The lenses are clear, no other issues, so do I sell or not?

I was in the same position Paul, I sold my lights back in 2005 when I came to France and bought new ones. Problem is, unless you can get someone to take them for you, the p & p costs are high.
Where are you in France; I am in the Lot (46)
cheers

Paul if it does eventually return to the UK then it might be more use with its RHD lights than without....

We are in the Charente (16) about 140km from the wildfire! The smoke and the smell were quite noticeable the other day.

I suppose I kind of guessed that, But the fact that I hope I may still have the car for 5 years, made me think.

my car is in the garage. My garagiste cannot continue with the repair because it needs a new inlet valve camshaft and they are unobtainable for the 16v non turbo !!

That's a real shame. I suppose the only hope is a donor car?

Mine probably has a long time to go (hopefully) before anything major needs replacing as it's just about run-in now at 48k miles. The auxilliary belts were changed about 3k ago when the new alternator was fitted( failed because it had been sitting idle for several years).

Fingers crossed it stays this way.

Yes sorry, I hadn't meant it to sound so obvious! Actually the impression I got originally was that you might have been looking to do a bit of clearing out for one reason or another, perhaps looking for space...

I have kept a pair of RHD headlights just in case. I don't have any use for mine either but you never know if you may need them.

I have a load of parts that I probably will never use but these parts have saved the day many times so I would keep the headlights unless they are in the way.

Parts are getting harder and more expensive to come by every year now.

Actually, looking for space isn't a problem. I have 60 sqM. of fairly empty space on the first floor in my barn! In fact up there too is a spare front valance for the Coupé, also a 'just in case' option and safe in the cellar is a complete set of cloth seats, that will probably never find a home!

Oh, and a full set of spare TSW wheels (almost forgot about those).

I do worry however in case anything happens to the windscreen - I believe replacements are either very hard to find, or don't fit so well as originals .
