Thanks for that Joe. So I don't have to up the boost to get the most out of the GT28R? My car's done 108K miles now so I don't want to muck around with it too much (I don't even have a chip installed). I suppose I should get a compression gauge before I uprate anything.

Quote
it is more efficient due to the roller bearing design.

Its mainly more efficient because it has a larger AR60 compressor housing & .64 Turbine housing & wheel, where as the OEM unit has a smaller AR42 compressor housing & .49 Turbine housing.

Big Turbo + Big Ego = High Boost Hero!

Saracen, I was comparing the GT28r to the GTi-R T28 hybrid.

Good work mate, the sooner the better as far as I'm concerned, the turbo I have at the moment is costing me a fortune in oil <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Good work Will. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

I must admit I've lost interest in this a bit as ATP haven't emailed me back a few times now... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

Matty they are quite swamped from what they said in one of my emails as they arent a massively staffed company and get a lot of emails thru <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> But mine seem to get good quick replies <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Anything in specific you want me to ask them for you Matty when i email them later on??

I also make sure i send an email during their waking hours with a nice big attachment on it that stuffs my connection up for 30minutes while it sends lol!!

And yip Jamie i will return it <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> and let you know about the other thing for sure <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Flat battery, and it was cold this morning couldnt be bothered jumping it lol

I don't have an option of pushing it over 2k whilst cold the traffic is so bad from ours lol. Still, the blue cloud following me ins't plesant.

Just to decide R or RS <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

After talking to Jamie and looking online a wee bit as well i think ill just plump for an RS kit as the RS is a newer design and more upto date as garrett put it(and jamie) lol

Hopefully if enough of us pop on it will make it even cheaper as a kit <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

I want to sort a kit before i setup a group buy or discount for the club <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> as at least i can make sure everything is there and the DIY'ers can fit it straight on <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Bon Chr,

The kit should contain
1 turbo
1 exhaust adapter plate
1set of fixings for oil feed and take off
and for the GT28R guys an inlet adapter to fit onto the inlet pipework <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I need to confirm the list with ATP which is kinda why i want to be the test guinnea pig as i dont have to go anywhere in feb really unless i need to <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> and i can get a hire car for that lol and can sort out all the bits in case i find anything important missing <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Higher up in this thread is a 'guide' as to what to expect but im hoping to lowe it a little if more of us go for the RS as well <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> and as a group buy for FCCUK forum members <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
