Hey all,
As some of you may know, I'm about to get a Coop and have had some great insurance quotes thanks to the listings on here, so thanks to you all for your help.
I have a general, unrelated enquiry that I wondered if any of you may know about. My last car was written off, and I've been waiting ages now for an offer. I've rung the insurer today (Admiral) and they said they have received the mandate back from the DVLA and there are 6 points on my license that they were not aware of. Now, when I registered with Admiral, I had 3 points on my license, which have since expired as they were over 5 years old. The other 6 points I have received since then (for doing 40 through a 30mph speed camera, twice, because they changed the speed limit of the road overnight!!) I didnt tell Admiral about as I thought you only had to when it came to your renewal.
The lady on the phone said my details have gone to the underwriters to get checked out before they make an offer, due to these 6 points being on there. I'm just a little worried now. I thought you didnt have to mention the points til your next renewal, which I'm guessing is now not the case. Are Admiral in their rights to tell me to just b*gger off and that they are no longer going to insure me because of this??
