I love the uncluttered sweeping lines of the coupe roof. But at this time of year when there is frequent overnight rain I am fed up with running the gauntlet of trying to get in the car before a stream of water deposits itself perfectly on my shoulder, or worse in my lap The early morning balletic ritual is getting on my nerves. You know the routine:- You open the car door carefully, Ease onto the seat slowly avoiding any sudden movement Reach for the door handle, … good so far... and you are just about to let rip with a celebratory “YES” until the door is just about closed when… down the stream of water comes I have discovered that the chivalrous act of opening the passenger door for my wife is a pretty good solution, a wet t-shirt looks far better on her anyway But unfortunately she no longer falls for this one worked for good while though I used to keep an old wiper blade handy but have been spotted one too many times by my neighbours who already think I am absolutely obsessed with the car and think I am stroking the thing lovingly every morning. Shaking and rocking the car before opening the door created similar bemused looks, I dare not guess what they were thinking about that one, so it looks like I am destined to a damp life John p.s. I have thought about re-laying my driveway so the it slopes towards the passenger drive, but this feels a tab obsessive even for me

Park it on a slant of about 10' works a treat, just make some form of bump for one wheel only on the drive and drive onto it and it should allow the water to run off Or make a car port

Garage for me here too.
You could use the park on a slope idea but take care not to make it too much of a slope for the handbrake to handle (or is that just my car).
Edited to actually make the sentence make sense!

How about squirting the windscreen with cleaning stuff at slightly over 30mph with the window open - all comes in!

When I was hoovering the car the other day I was half in and half out, when down came the stream. I was only wearing a T-shirt and the water was so cold it actually hurt

Anyone ever washed their car in the Winter & the water starts to freeze on the roof?? I was washing the car in the raod & managed to create a sheet of black ice around my car I had to raid the kitchen for that 10 year old bottle of salt - You know the sort - white bottle red/blue writing on it that everyone's Mom has at the back of their kitchen cabinet, together with 12 year old cans of peaches

Whats all this talk of Alfas throughout various posts? Whats the Alfa equivalent of a 20vt in terms of performance? And is the coupe a bad handler?

Alfa equivalent would be the V6 GTV, and no the coupe isn't a bad handler unless the suspension is tired.

Its only because bezzer wanted an alfa, but couldn't find one with a pink bunny (private joke)
As Scooby says the GTV is a direct comparison to the coop, its a different car, but similar, if you understand me
