Coupe spotted - with fccukin coach in the side! #202475

Today i will be mostly sad and angry!

Why?

I spotted a green coupe, one which 30 seconds before I had stepped out of and locked, with a bloody great coach stuck in the nearside!!!!!!!!!

The coach driver had not applied his handbrake and 13t of metal rolled downhill for 100mtrs into four cars - mine being the 1st.
N/s rear quarter, door, wing, bonnet, mirror obliterated and the plate ripped from the body and pushed into the windscreen pillar - the car shunted sideways.

Mine didnt come off worse though, an 06 seat ibiza was mashed, front, back side, glass etc - looked like it had crashed into a wall at 60mph! It was pushed into a focus and that into a landrover A steel fence was also squashed although that seemed to stop further madness and carnage.

30 seconds and it woulda been me as well as the car - keep reminding myself of that when I think about my beloved mashed coupe!

Arranged a hire car etc which, this being blighty with our fantastic customer service didnt fccuking show up! Still its only 36miles home with no direct access with our fantastic public transport system.

I have 12 cans of Magners and Im on my way...

That's awful, but as you said, it could have been far worse.

Make sure you get a top level car for your hire period. a lot of companies use enterprise and when they fob you a lower class of car call up the insurers and say, no way! iirc the 20v NA is group 15 i think, so you would be looking at something like a top spec mondeo tdci ghia, or merc 200kompressor maybe then?

but thats well shocking news its gunna be a write off for sure if the bonnet has been damaged and other bits as well so id get looking for adverts that are seeking top price and in similar nick to what yours was and then using that for settlement evidence, and see how much they knock off if you want to buy the car back as CarlT may buy it back off you for a bit more and id personally rather see mine go to him than any normal breaker as at least i would know its going to a good breaker then and being used by other coop members

So sorry to read about what's happened to your car

As said though, at least you weren't in it at the time

Yes, I had a nice Titanium 2L TDCI as my courtesy car. Was fairly impressed with it once it was past 1st and 2nd gear

Have seen neither final destiny or destination - I have however seen the very nice assessor who has agreed value at £3400.00.
