Seperate wash bottle for Aquamist?

I remember about 18 months ago before all the forum posts were lost, that someone had fitted a wash bottle from a Fiat Marea to be used as the tank for the water / methanol mixture for the Aquamist system. If I remember correctly, the Marea wash bottle was fitted where the air filter was and the Aquamist pump was fitted on a custom made bracket bolted behind the nearside wing.
I want to fit the same system to my car, so I would greatly appreciate if whoever fitted this could post some pictures of the wash bottle and the Aquamist on the bracket as well as the descriptions on the fitment.
Thanks in advance.

Squid - it was Whittler who had this setup. IIRC Richard Lamb from ERL (Aquamist) had been involved in setting the car up which is where the custom bracket had come from.

The marea or tipo (certain tipo's) had the washer bottles on the left, they use the orginal mountings on the right hand side of the coupe, so there isn't a worry with that
Your car is Usain Bolt with wellies

Thanks Keano,
I tried to PM Whittler, but it says that the user has exceeded their PM quota and can not receive any more messages.
I'll have to post a wanted poster on the forum!

Matty,
Was there any space left for a cone air filter? I dont have a FMIC, just the Pace Side mount so I need to fit an air filter in there somewhere....
Where did you mount the pump and other gubbins?

I hate to say it mate, but I don't think you've got a chance without going for a FMIC. I'll take some pics.

Bugg*r! I think I'll go for an Apexi air filter anyway and see what space is left to make something up.... I actually don't want to go for a FMIC as my current Pace Side mount has very little lag. I have driven a couple of cars with the FMIC and I was not impressed with the amount of laf they have.

Why should I get a FMIC? It seems like an awful lot of hassle for very little benifit? I will be fitting an aquamist 2 system with DDS3 and unichip, so the FMIC will not offer a great deal of benefit.
An intercooler can only ever cool the the charge close to ambient, whereas a water injection system can cool BELOW ambient because of the evaporation. Also the FMIC induces lag....
And it costs a load of extra money I don't have!!!

I'm no techinical expert but from what i've read, the FMIC will flow more air and is alot more efficient than the SMIC. DocFrag was part of the PACE IC developments so should be able to shed more light.

OK, OK !
Ive bitten the bullet and bought a Pro Alloy FMIC at the group buy price. I spoke to Wayne at Pro Alloy and they have 5 (now 4!) left from the recent group buy. So Roger at Powerfiat is fitting that along with my GT28RS next week.

NO, No, No! I'm not listening, la, la la! Actually I looked at that thread a little while back, and felt tempted! However, I do have a long life system at the moment. When Roger finnishes fitting all the various bits and pieces, the weak link in the system will be down pipe. So if I could find a CHEAP 3" downpipe I would be interested, but after having just spent a ton of money I'm a bit skint! All this after just having bought myself a brand new airplane is a but much really....

Welcome back Squid , long time no hear? how are things going?
Good man with the GT28rs,..make sure you get the 0.64 version though, very important! I have heard of a few guys fitting the larger versions by mistake, and then not being happy with the spool up.

Hi Markus,
Yes I have been away for a while. Your car looks awsome. I really like the paint job. Where did you get that done and how much did it cost?
I see the aquamist bottle on the picture. What is the bottle from and where did you fit the pump etc? I spoke to CarlT yesterday, he said that he thought a Fiat Bravo bottle should fit nicely.
As for the exhaust, yes I do like it, the only problem I have is the down pipe, I really need a 3" down pipe but I can't quite justify the cost on top of all the other bits I'm having done.
Joe emailed me yesterday and mentioned that he was keen to meet for a drink sometime soon. I'll let you know when we fit a date.
BTW, I tried to PM you but your box is full !

I blocked the pump outlet off and then tapped a new hole, but you could just use the outlet on the pump.
