Hi,
i`m a newbie!
atm i`ve got a Corrado 1.8 16 valve,
i`m looking to swap it for a coop turbo, i know nothing about them other than *i think* the motor is related to the Integrale motor and it has about 200 bhp.
they seem quite well made....i`ve had several small Fiat`s before which were o.k. and i can`t ignore the value for money of them when buying, selling has been alarming at times but then it would be i suppose.
I`ve also had an Alfa selespeed which makes me a little wary to say the least.
But i think the coop is a different story, can anyone advise please?
also i`ve seen a specialist solo italia in oxford about 70 miles from me, anyone any idea on this company?
I ask because there are specialists and there are specialists, in buying cars, washing them, polishing tham and sticking them in autotrader with +2k on them, as i have encountered around my area!
Please advise i`m mot ing the corrado and selling in the next 10 days, mind not fully made up but ..........

The Integrale motor is the 2.0 16 Turbo however this was replaced with the arguably better 20v and Turbo motor. Both 16v and 20v are great cars. Many on here reccomend Motormech In Birmingham and powerFiat in Essex as the definiative specialists, have heard very mixed stories of SoloItalia.

If looking to buy a coupe look here first as most are forum members ex cars and tend to be better looked after. plus you can see there history from the forum.

Welcome to the forum by the way. there will be a few more informative replies to your post than mine and the members will steer you in the right direction on what coupe to buy and where to buy it.

Welcome to the forum Ste.

I've always liked the Corrado, a great Coupé with solid build quailty. Something you might find the Fiat lacks, but we put this down as being character.

As Bridges said, the 16VT is the same engine as used in the Integrale. A cracking engine, with great heritage but it has to be said that now the boundries are being pushed with regards to tuning the 20VT engines so IMHO they are the ones to go for. A much more modern engine design, with that gorgeous five pot growl.

Have a look at the buyers guide, some great information there on the differences in the models.
