I have seen a few posts recently asking for second hand brakes (Pads & Discs) Brakes are consumable items. If yours are buggered fit new ones, your life could depend on it As Mr T would say "Don't scrimp on them safety items fools" What next used filters
Gone Audi mad!

I asked for second hand brakes to check if i had a problem with mines. I was going to change, then see what the result was like. Then if it was my brakes i would replace with new ones.

2nd hand brakes are fine, providing they are sold as just that my old brembos & discs have are finding their way to another owners hands, however, I have took the liberty of skimming the discs & bead blasting the rust off them. I am supplying the old pads ( almost about 80% pad on them ) but am also providing a new set of pagid blues. It all boils down to how much you want to skimp personally, I'd examine them carefully, after all, they are there to save you from Taz

As Taz said. Its down to knowing what you are looking at. I've bought and fitted secondhand pads before. A new set of Pagid Blues is £180 ish, that means a set with a few miles on them is still worth buying say for anything less half price. Ponder this. If you sell your car you are supplying secondhand brakes anyway in a roundabout way. What exactly changes if you remove them from the car.?
